Simone's interest in gymnastics began when she was just six years old after a visit with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained under Aimee Borman as coach until the year 2011. Biles won a gold in the floor and bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite competition in 2011. She dominated her sport just two years later. Biles was distinguished by her consistent performance, exuberant persona, and the difficulty she encountered in each of the four events including vault, uneven bars, and balance beam.
