Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician from England. He was a member of One Direction. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, and with his three classmates, formed a music group called White Eskimo. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to an excellent performance, they were also a part of the Battle of Bands in the Battle of Bands 2010. The musician always had an interest in music, but he was enthused to be a lawyer or physical therapy. He worked in an area bakery on a part-time basis to help his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This was the reason that the group split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first created in the year 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell and were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the top contenders in the competition. They came third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds as part of a deal for One Direction.
