Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She moved to California at the age of five. She was raised mainly living in Orange County. Her breakthrough was in 2015 when she earned her a degree from University of California San Diego. After making small appearances on NCIS and Leverage Pernas got the part in the role of Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless. In 2016, after leaving soap operas she was offered a role as Catalina on Jane the Virgin. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared on The Brave, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between the years of 2019 and 2020 Pernas was portrayed by Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas has been dating her former The Young and the Restless actor Justin Hartley. This was after Chrishell Stause (the spouse to the This Is Us actor) was able to break up with him in the month of November and Pernas started dating Hartley. Pernas Hartley recently wed at a private wedding according to reports from May 2020.
