Kari Sam Wuhrer, born April 28, 1968 is an American actor and singer. The career of Wuhrer began when she was a teenager. Her most famous role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders as well as Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble) and is a payroll accountant and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). Her siblings include three. As a teenager, she performed at nightclubs in the dark, escaping from home. She began studying acting at her 13th birthday at Wooster School, then studied the art of drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts along with renowned teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer, a model from Connecticut is an American model, actress and singer. She took drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher known for her work as Uta. Kari was introduced to acting at the age of 13 and got her first big break in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
